Sherri Greenberg
Sherri R. Greenberg is a professor of practice and fellow of the Max Sherman Chair in State and Local Government at the LBJ School of Public Affairs, and she is a professor of practice at the Steve Hicks School of Social Work. Additionally, she is the LBJ School Assistant Dean for State and Local Government Engagement. She is a primary researcher for, and is Chairperson elect of, Good Systems, The University of Texas Grand Challenge regarding ethical AI. Greenberg is a member of the Board of the Austin Convention Center Enterprise. She also serves on the Austin Smart City Alliance Board of Directors, and the Austin Forum on Technology & Society Advisory Board. Previously, she was a member of the Central Health Board of Managers, and a member of the City of Austin Housing Investment Review Committee.
Larry Gonzales
The Honorable Larry Gonzales was first elected to the Texas House of Representatives in 2010. Rep. Gonzales served on the powerful House Appropriations Committee three times, twice serving as Subcommittee Chairman appropriating funds for forty-two state agencies. Chairman Gonzales was twice appointed to serve on the budget conference committee, one of only five House members to write the final version of the 2016-2017 and 2018-2019 state budgets. Additionally, after having served as a Member of the Sunset Advisory Commission, Gonzales was appointment to serve as Chairman of that Commission. In that role, Chairman Gonzales oversaw the critical restructuring of twenty-four state agencies to ensure their stated mission was being met effectively and efficiently. In 2017, Larry founded Desk 138, LLC, a public affairs and business development company specializing in issue advocacy and business strategic planning. Larry graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1993 with a B.A. in Government, and in 2014, graduated from Texas State University with an M.P.A., Master’s in Public Administration. Larry and his wife Marie have been married for 29 years and have two children - Leah, 23, and Alexander, 21.
