As Political Director, Brencia Berry formulates strategic plans to help the Democratic National Committee achieve its electoral goals. A skilled political tactician, Ms. Berry works closely with elected officials, national and state partners, allies, campaigns, committees, key stakeholders, and membership organizations to support national and state priorities. She is also charged with engaging and organizing specific constituencies in campaigns. Previously, as Vice President of Equity and Political Strategy at Paid Leave for the United States, Ms. Berry spearheaded the national outreach program. During her tenure as the National Deputy Director of Public Engagement for Elizabeth Warren’s presidential campaign, Ms. Berry led the policy and coalition outreach. She is a Hillary for America National Advance Team veteran with experience working in state and local government in Louisiana, and her native Texas. A graduate of Louisiana State University with a master's degree from the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin, she is the first Black woman to serve as Chief of Staff to a San Antonio council member. Ms. Berry is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.
