As former Political Director of the Democratic National Committee, Brencia Berry formulated strategic plans to advance the party’s electoral goals and worked closely with elected officials, national and state partners, campaigns, committees, and key stakeholders to support Democratic priorities. A skilled political tactician, she also led efforts to engage and organize constituencies nationwide.

Previously, as Vice President of Equity and Political Strategy at Paid Leave for the United States, Ms. Berry spearheaded the organization’s national outreach program. During her tenure as National Deputy Director of Public Engagement for Elizabeth Warren’s presidential campaign, she directed policy and coalition outreach. She is also a Hillary for America National Advance Team veteran with additional experience in state and local government in Louisiana and her home state of Texas.

A graduate of Louisiana State University with a master’s degree from the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin, Ms. Berry made history as the first Black woman to serve as Chief of Staff to a San Antonio City Council member. She is also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
