Nate Sheets, 2026 Republican candidate for Texas Agriculture Commissioner

Nathan “Nate” Sheets is a fifth-generation Texan, U.S. Navy veteran, entrepreneur, and conservative Republican currently running for Texas Agriculture Commissioner. Born and raised in the Texas Hill Country, Sheets grew up in a military family and served six years in the United States Naval Reserve before earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Texas State University. He built his career turning a single backyard beehive into Nature Nate’s Honey, which became a pioneer in food purity testing.

Beyond business, Sheets is deeply involved in ministry and community service, including helping launch national evangelism efforts and faith-based initiatives. He now lives in North Texas with his wife Patty and their four children and daughter-in-law, and manages Honey Rock Ranch, a 10,000-acre operation that reflects his commitment to land stewardship and regenerative ranching.

Driven by faith, family, and real-world experience, Sheets is campaigning for Texas Agriculture Commissioner to bring new leadership to the office, advocating for cleaner food, stronger rural economies, and policies that support Texas farmers and ranchers.
