Drew Darby is a Republican attorney and successful businessman from San Angelo, serving Texas House District 72 since 2007. A lifelong West Texan, he holds both a BBA (Finance) and a JD from the University of Texas at Austin, and further honed his leadership through the Emerging Political Leaders Program at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business.
Throughout his legislative career, Darby has held key leadership roles, including Chair of the House Energy Resources Committee, as well as service on the House Administration and State Affairs Committees. His experience extends to chairing the Redistricting Committee and serving on the Legislative Budget Board and Water Advisory Committees. Through these roles, he has shaped policies that support Texas's energy landscape, resource management, and legislative governance.
